Ethics and Responsibilities

According to the regulations of Srinakharinwirot University about the ethics of SWU’s personnel B.E. 2560, by being worth improving the human resource services of ethics to conform with Srinakharinwirot University Act, B.E. 2559 because the personnel of Srinakharinwirot University can efficiently perform a duty to be the good personnel, become aware of the responsibility for their duty, and take part in maintaining and promoting the reputation of Srinakharinwirot University to gain the acceptance of ordinary people, Srinakharinwirot University enacted the regulation which has the important details that personnel should know as follows:

  • General ethics
  • Professional ethics
  • Ethics for students and customers
  • Ethics for chiefs, subordinates and colleagues
  • Ethics for doing the duty, divisions and university
  • Ethics for people and society
  • Ethics of executives

General ethics

  1. To adhere, insist on the right thing
  2. To have the honesty
  3. To perform your duty with responsibility, transparency and ability to monitor
  4. To perform your duty must not inequitably discriminate. To follow any measures which were laid down in order to remove the obstacles or encourage the personnel to have an equal opportunity with other people is not regarded as the unjust discrimination
  5. To aim at the achievement of work
  6. Not to use the power to dominate others
  7. To hold in the interest of university and country over personal interest and have a conflict of interest

Professional ethics

Staff must not do the profession to abuse the benefit for yourself and other people. In case any profession defined the professional ethics, personnel must follow the professional ethics which were defined too.

Ethics for students and customers

  1. To do yourself to have a credibility for students and customers
  2. To perform the work to students and customers with your full effort
  3. To behave yourself to be a good example for students and customers
  4. To behave yourself to be a good example for students and customers due to doing your work unless you are permitted from data owner or law
  5. Not to sexually violate or have a sexual relationship with students who are not your spouse, whether it is consent or not, including no expression which indicates the sexual violation---both physical and verbal.

Ethics for chiefs, subordinates and colleagues

  1. To give the cooperation to work and solve the problems together
  2. To correctly take care of subordinates in working
  3. To honor the chiefs, subordinates and colleagues, including the omission of using the aggressive, instigating and rude manners, not to create disharmony in the staff, not to interfere or intervene in other’s work
  4. Not to do or show manners which indicate the sexual violation---both physical and verbal.

Ethics for doing the duty, divisions and university

  1. To have the responsibility for duty according to the jobs which are assigned
  2. To perform a duty which are assigned with full effort
  3. To perform a duty with carefulness, industriousness, sacrifice and dedication to develop the university into the quality organization by considering the benefit of university
  4. To be punctual, spend the office time being useful to university
  5. To give the cooperation in working and different activity of division and university
  6. To use the properties of division and university economically, worthily by the caution not to damage them
  7. To maintain the reputation and prestige of university
  8. Not to use the properties of university to the benefit of yourself  and others

Ethics for people and society

  1. To behave yourself to have a credibility of ordinary people
  2. To behave yourself to be suitable for the good culture
  3. Not to gain the properties or other benefits which have exceeding values from clients who contact officer or people that get a benefit from doing a duty. If SWU see the event which has the presentation of properties or other exceeding benefits, you must quickly report to your chief in order to properly operate afterwards

Ethics of executives

  1. To adhere to the moral principles of human resource administration
  2. To maintain the image of the university and adhere to justice
  3. To preserve the academic freedom and responsibility of personnel
  4. To support educational equity of people
  5. To support and promote the participation of university’s contributors to the decision about the work which has an effect on personnel and students
  6. Not to ignore when you find the ethical misconduct or corruption of personnel
